Welcome to the FanCave.
We pride ourselves in our drive to develop a new breed of fantasy sports players, more dominant, more strategic and shark-free.
FanCave was founded in September 2017 by former Fantasy Forecast co-founder Joe Metz with this goal in mind. We’re here to help you turn your couch change into the bankroll you’ve always dreamed of.
Through personal coaching, premium content and a responsive and interactive team, there’s no better man cave to spend your time than the FanCave!
Meet our team here:
Joe Metz | Founder / CEO
A 2017 graduate of Xavier University, Joe works as a Sales Associate for the Milwaukee Bucks by day, and the founder of FanCave by night. He had a brief writing stint at FantasyTeamAdvice.com before co-founding Fantasy Forecast.
After leaving his position at FanForecast, he decided to start his own independent site, FanCave – hoping to create the most fun and laid back fantasy analysis site in the industry.
He’s been involved in fantasy sports for about 8 years, DFS for 2-3, experiencing consistent success among both formats. He contributes to MLB, NBA and NFL for FanCave and can be found on Twitter at @JMetz34, always willing to help in any way he can!
Justin Savage | COO
Justin has been in the DFS community for over 4 years. He was playing DFS full time for over 6 months last year and has been extremely successful in it. A central CA native, he is a fan of the Sacramento Kings, San Francisco Giants, and a handful of NFL teams.
With a passion for helping people, he started writing fantasy content in the later half of 2017 and he can’t stop now. He loves the community and is always happy to help people improve their fantasy sports game. Find him on Twitter -> @JustaSav
Matt Vermillion | Director of Marketing and Community Engagement
Matt “Nova Duel” Vermillion has over ten years of fantasy sports experience. Starting at a young age, he has ever since had a continued passion for anything sports-related. With a degree in Sports Management, sports have always been an integral part of his life. Through the years he has transitioned from a successful season-long fantasy player, to daily fantasy where he has had continued success.
Matt collects unstructured player data from multiple sources with the goal of turning it into information, and above all, knowledge for those visiting our community.
You can find him on Twitter, @Goat_NovaDuel where he provides the community with tips and tricks to become a more knowledgeable and profitable DFS player.
Jacob Wright | Content Director
A Senior Marketing student at Virginia Commonwealth University, Jacob holds an extreme passion for social media and is the owner of @DFSClutchBoy. He began playing DFS during the 2012-2013 NBA season as a casual player and in 2015 is when he began to take it more seriously. Jacob built a reputation during the 2016 MLB season when he gave out free lineups for the entire season including a cash streak of 21 consecutive main slates on FanDuel.
He lives a risk adverse lifestyle so it makes sense that he focus on cash games on all fantasy sites. Don’t be fooled though, he’s not afraid to fade the chalk. Feel free to reach out to Jacob for any questions regarding NFL, NBA, MLB, CFB, or CBB. He’s happy to help and is always accessible on Twitter.
Johnny Espizito | Director of Sales
Johnny is a business owner/writer/artist/podcast host. Johnny played multiple sports, but Baseball and Football is where he excelled. He’s a member of pee wee and high school football state championship teams.
His insight is unique, by not being number driven. The eye test is his bread and butter, just like the pro scouts. In DFS, his #CriminalOwnership hashtag has become a daily staple of the community. He looks to bring his “shoot from the hip” style to FanCaveDFS. Everything is a shot, don’t become a victim!
