Now lets get into the picks.
STACK: QB Andy Dalton, RB Giovani Bernard, and WR Tyler Boyd, Cincinnati Bengals:
Although I am not a big fan of triple stacking because of how risky it is, these Bengals produce at such a great value. This week the Bengals are going against a heavily injured Falcons defense in a stadium that is basically a dome. Dalton has been quietly productive since the Bengals new offensive coordinator, Bill Lazor has took over and with nearly 300 yards passing a game and 8 touchdowns this season. He is by far the best value option at quarterback this week going for only $7,400 on Fanduel and $5,400 on DraftKings. Last week I was big on Giovani Bernard because of his pass catching ability and he had a solid game (nearly 100 scrimmage yards and a TD). With starter Joe Mixon set to be out again this week, Bernard has the chance to feast on a Falcons defense that has given up 25 receptions to running backs over the past two weeks and is now down another safety after losing Ricardo Allen for the season. With a price of $6,400 on Fanduel and $6,300 on DraftKings, he should have no problem meeting value. I’ve also been big on Tyler Boyd before the season and he is opening the eyes of many people who didn’t know the name before. After having a great game on TNF against the Ravens, Boyd hauled in six receptions on seven tarets for 132 yards and a touchdown this week against the Panthers. We can safely project Boyd for around eight targets each week at this point as the Bengals slot receiver, but he could get even more targets for even more work this week with star receiver A.J. Green questionable with a groin injury. Boyd was a top value play last week, and this week he is still way too cheap at $5,800 on Fanduel and $4,600 on DraftKings.
RB Kerryon Johnson, Detroit Lions (FD: $5,700 / DK: $4,400):
The emerging Lions rookie RB Kerryon Johnson finally broke the Lions streak of not having a running back run for 100 yards in a game last week. Johnson has shown an excellent ability to run in between the tackles and be a competent pass catcher out of the backfield, so he has a clear leg up over fellow Lions running backs LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick in terms of having the most touches. His success is also because of how good the Lions offensive line has been this season. The matchup with the Cowboys also got a huge boost with Cowboys star LB Sean Lee ruled out for the game with a hamstring injury. Dallas ranked in the bottom five in league against the run last season in the five games that Lee missed in 2017.
WR Sterling Shepard, New York Giants (FD: $6,200 / DK: $4,900):
After an underwhelming first two weeks of the season, Shepard had a very solid week 3 with 6 catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. This is another excellent spot for Shepard, who should see an increase in targets with starting TE Evan Engram likely out with a knee injury. Beyond the bump in targets, Shepard has a fantastic matchup against the Saints who have been one of the worst teams this season covering slot wide receivers with Charles Godwin, Antonio Callaway and Calvin Ridley having big games because of their slot corner Patrick Robinson for the remainder of the season.
WR Antonio Callaway, Cleveland Browns (FD: $4,500 / DK: $4,300):
Rookie WR, Antonio Callaway is the team’s best deep threat option and will be one of the biggest beneficiaries Baker Mayfield take his first start this Sunday, who is much more aggressive and throws a much better deep ball than Tyrod Taylor. The matchup this week is excellent against the Raiders, who have one of the worst cornerback groups in the league and have been burned deep numerous times already this season. Callaway has the chance to make a few plays for big points this week.
Thank you for reading and best of luck this week!
