NBA Plays of the Day 4/10 – Value and Opportunity

  1. Plays are based on stats, opposition and pricing.
  2. Averaged 17-18 Season stats after player’s names.
  3. FanDuel and DraftKings prices listed respectively.

• Point Guard

John Wall – 19/9/3 [ $9,200 / $8,500 ] Although there’re other point guards to choose from, many of which are much cheaper, John Wall said that he wants to make a statement against the Cavaliers and Celtics, meaning, he should be relatively safe. Washington is also playing for seeding, which could vault Wall into another level, especially with Boston still playing its normal starters in a playoff atmosphere game.

Yogi Ferrell – 10/2/3 [ $3,800 / $5,400 ] With Dennis Smith Jr. listed as questionable, after playing 40 minutes in their last match and JJ Barea sidelined, Yogi Ferrell is in line to see extra run and possibly slide into the starting lineup versus the injured Suns. On FanDuel, Ferrell is a much better roster, but Phoenix does rank 30th in the league defensively, as they possess a 110.7 team defensive rating and offer a huge pace boost.

• Shooting Guard

Donovan Mitchell – 20/3/3 [ $8,000 / $8,000 ] Currently, Utah sits 4th in the West with a record of 47-33, so a win tonight, against the Warriors, would potentially have huge implications moving forward, as they’d then be able to battle Portland for the 3rd seed. This means that Donovan Mitchell will be of benefit, as they’re still going full strength and while Thompson didn’t play in the last meeting, Mitchell had 39.4 FanDuel points.

Marco Belinelli – 12/1/1 [ $5,000 / $4,800 ] The 76ers are undoubtedly the hottest team in the league, as they’re riding on an insane 14 game winning streak and with another win here, they could capture the 3rd seed, but might have to go without Ben Simmons. This would open up their front court tremendously, affording Marco Belinelli a bump in minutes and opportunities and with revenge on the line, Belinelli is a very nice play.

• Small Forward

Johnathan Motley – 7/4 [ $6,000 / $5,400 ] While his stats don’t make him an intriguing pick, Johnathan Motley has only played 10 games in the NBA and he’s registered 40+ minutes in 2 of his prior 3 outings, which has shown his ceiling and his overall ability. Both the Mavericks and Suns are without depth, only going to the aid of Motley, who did see a regression in playing time in his last game, but should be given plenty of run.

Lance Stephenson – 9/2/5 [ $4,700 / $4,500 ] In a back to back series against Charlotte, Lance Stephenson is sure to be a popular roster, as he put up 37 FanDuel points in just 27 minutes, supproetd by a near triple double of 8 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. Additionally, Victor Oladipo will not suit up, who commands a massive 30.0% usage on the year, as well as Bojan Bogdanovic, which will put Stephenson into the starting line.

• Power Forward

Ersan Ilyasova – 10/5 [ $6,100 / $6,200 ] As mentioned above, Philadelphia could be without Simmons, who is dealing with the stomach flu and while Dario Saric is back, Ersan Ilyasova has played well in his time with the Sixers and would see nice minutes. When these two teams met earlier, Ilyasova went for a monster 47.2 FanDuel point performance, as he scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in 29 minutes of action.

Domantas Sabonis – 11/7 [ $5,900 / $5,200 ] Like his teammate in Lance Stephenson, Domantas Sabonis will have an opportunity to see starters’ minutes, as the Pacers will rest Thaddeus Young in their final contest of the season, as they await for the playoffs. Again, Sabonis is very likely to be highly owned, seeing as he had 51.1 FanDuel points against the Hornets last outing, backed by 30 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

• Center

Rudy Gobert – 13/10/2 [ $9,000 / $8,100 ] Coming off of his worst game since returning from injury, Rudy Gobert looks to get back on track, as the Jazz push for higher seeding and in matchup versus the undersized Warriors, he very well could have a great night. During their previous meeting, Gobert had 50.5 FanDuel points in only 30 minutes, as he scored 17 points, collected 15 rebounds and did his defensive damage with 4 blocks.

Clint Capela – 13/10/1 [ $7,300 / $7,200 ] It was noted earlier, per FantasyLabs, that the Rockets would be rolling out their starters and would likely rest in their next matchup, which will allow Clint Capela and the rest of Houston to be as productive as expected. The Lakers are a solid team to target on the inside, with them allowing opponents to score an average of 48.9 points in the paint per game, which is the most in the league.

Extras: Cook, Beal, Ingles, Powell, Len.
