Stacks are essential to most DFS players success during MLB season in my opinion. This article will highlight some promising stacks in prime spots to go off. I will never write up Coors Field as it is a known hot bed for stacking. Early in the year, I will use numbers from last 2 years (length of players will less than 2 years of MLB service time) until things start settling out. Stack’em up Fancave!
New York Yankees (Cash/GPP)
Here is your early slate chalk. Normally I am a pro fade chalk, but Yankees chalk has a few guys that can get 50+ FD any time! They get a tired Orioles bull pen and Chris Tillman on the mound…this could be a slaughter. I will have Yankees thru out my lines.
VS LHBs: .350 wOBA and .216 ISO
VS RHBs: .359 wOBA and .185 ISO
I am going with obvious plays here. No need to be cute. Judge and Sanchez start it all here. Judge vs righties is a thing and this righty gives up power to that side. Double dong upside. Sanchez left in the extra inning s last night with cramps and is considered day-to-day. If he feels up to it…he will play here. If in, play him!
Judge: .421 wOBA and .341 ISO vs RHB last 2 seasons
Sanchez: .391 wOBA and .278 ISO vs RHB last 2 seasons
All other Yankees are in play. Lower half of line is less ownership. Gardner is a good lefty to own. All of them rate well for me. Could be a 6+ run day for Yankees.
Boston Red Sox (GPP)
Red Sox chalk busted hard the other day and most likely still disgruntle about it. I am ready to go back to them here. They face Jacob Faria, who is a reverse splits pitcher, in his small career sample. This stack does come with risk because Faria can be REAL good, but I will be chancing it here.
VS LHBs: .265 wOBA and .075 ISO
VS RHBs: .310 wOBA and .192 ISO
JD Martinez is the only piece I for sure want in the GPP stack. I am going to start riding JD until he gets that first HR, which I think is today off that four seamer.
Martinez: .396 wOBA and .294 ISO vs RHB last 2 seasons
After Martinez I like Mookie Betts and Andrew Benitiendi. Both will be top of order and what will drive the machine today. If Blake Swihart plays…. I am playing him. I just love the kid.
(Other section is designed for options if core plays of stacks are out or you don’t like the stacks written up.)
