• Point Guard
Lonzo Ball – 10/7/6 [ $7,100 / $7,600 ] Over his last 4 outings, Lonzo Ball has played 37+ minutes per game and sans the meeting with Indiana, he had put up 36.6+ FanDuel points per game in that span and is in line to do so again, tonight versus the Pelicans. Throughout the course of the season, New Orleans has struggled with point guards and Ball is too cheap in a competitive match.
De’Aaron Fox – 11/4/2 [ $5,700 / $5,900 ] Although De’Aaron Fox hasn’t been all that impressive as of late, he does have a chance to get things going against Atlanta, who has the 22nd ranked defense in the league and possesses a 108.4 team defensive rating. Dennis Schroder has been awful on defense all season, as he owns a 110.2 defensive rating, which should free up Fox a little bit.
• Shooting Guard
James Harden – 30/8/5 [ $11,800 / $11,600 ] News just recently came out stating that, Chris Paul is unlikely to play, which will undoubtedly boost James Harden in both his minutes and usage, as well as benefit Eric Gordon, who is now a candidate to start. Detroit has had trouble with shooting guards, since they traded Avery Bradley and we all know what Harden can do by himself.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope – 13/2/5 [ $5,500 / $6,200 ] Like his teammate Lonzo Ball, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has played a lot of minutes recently, especially over his past 2 matches, as he’s played 38+ minutes per game in that time and been a safe roster. Both teams place within the league’s top 3 in pace of play and as a two-way player, Caldwell-Pope could rack up a solid stat line.
• Small Forward
Taurean Prince – 13/2/4 [ $7,500 / $7,200 ] Save his previous contest versus a tough Utah team, Taurean Prince has been great lately, putting up 40+ FanDuel points in each of the prior 4 outings, while scoring 22+ points per game and 6+ boards per game. Sacramento has allowed opponents to shoot an average of 47.3% from the field, as well as 38.6% from deep, giving Prince room.
Mario Hezonja – 8/1/3 [ $4,500 / $4,700 ] With both Evan Fournier and Jonathan Simmons sidelined for tonight’s match, Mario Hezonja should see some extended minutes, as he takes on the Sixers and in their last meeting, he put up 30.4 FanDuel points. While it’s not a great spot, Hezonja has had some success against them already this year and is a cheap roster to save you salary.
• Power Forward
Julius Randle – 15/7 [ $7,500 / $8,000 ] After the Lakers had considered trading Julius Randle and were even sitting him, he’s come into plenty of playing time and in his past 15 contests, he’s put up 35+ FanDuel points in all but 3 of those matches played. The Pelicans have allowed opponents to score an average of 47.6 points in the paint and let an average of 14.4 fast break points.
JaMychal Green – 10/8 [ $6,500 / $5,800 ] Teammate Marc Gasol has been ruled out tonight for “rest,” which will give JaMychal Green more minutes and a definite bump to his usage and it doesn’t hurt that opposing big Dwight Howard is out for this game. Charlotte has had some difficulties with opposing bigs as of late, despite their solid rebounding, which Green could exploit, now.
Rudy Gobert – 14/10/2 [ $9,500 / $8,300 ] Since returning from injury, Rudy Gobert has elevated the Jazz on both ends of the floor and while he’s been known as their defensive anchor, he’s scored a solid 15+ points per game in 9 of his prior 10 outings. Dallas has been crushed by big men almost all season and with Gobert and Utah on top of their game(s), he’s a solid cash roster.
Dewayne Dedmon – 9/7 [ $5,800 / $5,600 ] While Dewayne Dedmon can be a bit inconsistent, there’s no denying that this is a good spot for him to attack, as the Kings grab a mere 31.2 defensive rebounds per game, but have contained well in the paint. This could be a hit or miss spot for Dedmon, because while Sacramento is inefficient in rebounding, he could be limited inside.
Extras: Walker, Gordon, Ingles, Davis, Vucevic.
