NBA Value Plays – 3/17

  1. Plays are based solely on opposition and pricing.
  2. FanDuel and DraftKings prices listed respectively.

• Point Guard

Quinn Cook [ $3,900 / $3,400 ] Last night, Quinn Cook played a massive 40 minutes and in turn, he scored 25 points, dished 3 assists and grabbed 4 rebounds, which totaled up to a solid 42.3 FanDuel point performance against the Sacramento Kings. Now, Cook will try his hand at the Phoenix Suns, who rank 30th in defense and are currently playing at the league’s 2nd fastest pace.

• Shooting Guard

Eric Gordon [ $5,300 / $5,200 ] Over his last 3 outings, Eric Gordon has played quite well, sans the meeting with the Spurs, as he’s put up a 34.8 FanDuel point effort up versus the Mavericks and 35.7 FanDuel points, just last match, against the Clippers. In the previous matchup with the Pelicans (before the break), Gordon went for 37.8 FanDuel points, in which he scored 27 points.

• Small Forward

David Nwaba [ $4,300 / $4,700 ] As of late, David Nwaba has been rather inconsistent, which is to be expected by such a young player, but will get a decent opportunity versus Cleveland, who owns the 28th ranked defense in the league (inflated). With this being a bit more of a risky play, Nwaba is fine in deep tournaments and if he gets time, he should be able to return on his value.

• Power Forward

Jeff Green [ $4,400 / $4,600 ] The short-handed Cavs will need Jeff Green to continue his recent play, as they will once again be without Larry Nance Jr. and Rodney Hood, which will probably force Cleveland to play small, using LBJ and him as bigs. This is a nice spot for Green, since the Bulls rank 24th in the league defensively and play at a very similar pace of play that he’s used to.

• Center

Al Jefferson [ $4,300 / $3,900 ] If Myles Turner is ruled out for tonight’s contest against the Wizards, Al Jefferson would become a huge value play at the center position, as Domantas Sabonis is also sidelined with an ankle injury he suffered recently. During his previous matchup, Jefferson played a big 25 minutes of action, putting up a 20/12 double double – keep your eye on Turner.

Extras: Payne, Clarkson, McDermott, Powell, Allen.

*Young and Iguodala are noted in the POTD article.
