Here are the 11 matchups tonight and their start times (Eastern Time):

CLS@ PHI 7:00pm
NYI@ TOR 7:00pm
MIN@ NJ 7:00pm
TB@ OTT 7:30pm
BUF@ DET 7:30pm

WAS@ FLA 7:30pm
SJ@ NSH 8:00pm
COL@ EDM 9:00pm
CGY@ ARI 9:00pm
DAL@ LA 10:30pm

My favorite matchups tonight are NYI@TOR, TB@OTT, COL@EDM, and NYR@MON. At the end of the article, I will put down my favorite line stacks for the night. Now let’s move into the plays of the day!

CENTERS:

Top Center Plays:

Connor McDavid vs Colorado Avalanche ($8900 FD/$7700 DK)

McDavid has 5 goals against the Avalanche this season in their two meetings. He has been playing exceptionally well over his past 10 games for the Oilers as they are starting to find a little bit more success. There are many top plays at Center tonight, but I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.

Nathan MacKinnon @ Edmonton Oilers ($7900 FD/$7500 DK)

MacKinnon is coming off a game where he potted 1 goal and got three assists against the Vancouver Canucks. This is going to be a high scoring game tonight against the Oilers and I expect Mackinnon to find the score sheet again tonight.

Steven Stamkos @ Ottawa Senators ($8800 FD/$7400 DK)

It’s really no surprise that Stamkos makes it on this list. Obviously the top NHL team Lighting are the favorites in this one, so I like the Stamkos line and Point line tonight against the Senators.

Nazem Kadri vs New York Islanders ($6400 FD/$6100 DK)

I like the second line for the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. Marner has been playing some outstanding hockey and that automatically boosts Kadri’s value. Going up against the team that gives up the most goals per game.

Aleksander Barkov vs Washington Capitals ($7300 FD/$6400 DK)

The Panthers are trying to snap a 2 game losing streak. He was playing exceptional hockey in the last 5 matchups before his last game where he only recorded 2 draftkings points. Good matchup tonight against the Capitals who just haven’t been themselves this season.

Brayden Point @ Ottawa Senators ($6300 FD/$6000 DK)

Tampa are the heavy favorites tonight against the Senators, who are just trying to deal at the trade deadline as they can’t seem to put together any good winning streaks at all. There are rumors surrounding Karlsson going to other teams and you know that has an effect on all the players in the Ottawa locker room.

Good Center Plays:

Austin Matthews vs New York Islanders ($7900 FD/$7600 DK)

The Leafs are trying to extend their two game winning streak in a home ice matchup tonight against the New York Islanders. The Islanders give up the most goals against per game this season. I like Matthews tonight of course but I do like other top center options more.

Vincent Trocheck vs Washington Capitals ($6800 FD/$6500 DK)

Trocheck has been cold in his last 2 games but has a good home ice matchup against the Capitals tonight. Holtby has given up 4,6,4, and 5 goals in his last 4 games for the Capitals and not even against very good teams.

Jonathan Drouin vs New York Rangers ($5600 FD/$4600 DK)

Drouin is still on the first line for the Canadiens and they have a favorable matchup tonight against the Rangers  who are in a downhill slide. It’s sounding like the Rangers aren’t going to have Lundqvist in net tonight either.

Anze Kopitar vs Dallas Stars ($7400 FD/$6600 DK)

Kopitar has double digit FD points in 9 of his last 10 games for the Kings and enter a favorable matchup tonight on home ice against the Dallas Stars, who have struggled to score lately and have given up a bunch of goals per game. Not to mention, they are on a 2nd of a back to back.

Value Center Plays:

Derick Brassard vs Tampa Bay Lightning ($6100 FD/$4900 DK)

Cheap on Draftkings tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Brassard has 4 goals and 2 assists over his last 5 games for the Senators. He will be extremely low owned tonight as everyone runs from people when they play the Lightning. Louis Domingue is getting the start tonight for the Lightning and has been pretty awful with a 3.9 GAA this season.

Nolan Patrick vs Columbus Blue Jackets ($4300 FD/$4200 DK)

Patrick has a 3 game point streak going entering his matchup against the Blue Jackets tonight. He also has had a goal in both of his last 2 games. He recorded an assist 3 games ago in his matchup against the Blue Jackets on the 16th.

WINGERS

Top Winger Plays:

Nikita Kucherov @ Ottawa Senators ($9100 FD/$8000 DK)

Kucherov and point have been playing great hockey since they got together on the same line. He has had double digit FD points in 8 of his last 10 games for the Lightning. Great play tonight against the Senators.

Taylor Hall vs Minnesota Wild ($8000 FD/$7100 DK)

Hall has recorded at least a point in every single New Jersey Devils game in 2018 so far. He is on a 19 game point streak which is incredible in todays NHL. Not an ideal matchup against the Wild tonight but obviously he doesn’t care who the matchup is, as he continues to further his points streak.

Evgenii Dadonov vs Washington Capitals ($5400 FD/$5600 DK)

I really like the first line for the Florida Panthers tonight against the Washington Capitals. Holtby has been awful in his last 4 games for the Capitals over his last 5 games and pretty much all season. Great play tonight for a relatively cheap price tonight.

Good Winger Plays

Mitch Marner vs New York Islanders ($6400 FD/$6300 DK)

Marner has been finding the score sheet left and right for the Toronto Maple Leafs over his last 15 games. When he goes off, he goes OFF, with multiple goals and assists in a game. He has the potential to score 50 FD points on a good night.

Mikko Rantanen @ Edmonton Oilers ($6700 FD/$6100 DK)

Rantanen and MacKinnon looked really good two nights ago against the Canucks as he recorded a goal and 2 assists. Good matchup tonight against the Oilers and it should be a high scoring affair.

Gustav Nyquist vs Buffalo Sabres ($6300 FD/$4400 DK)

Nyquist is up against a Sabres team who is still banged up. Detroit should have an outstanding game against the Sabres who are a pretty bad team overall but even worse on the road.

Value Winger Plays:

Alex Killorn @ Ottawa Senators ($5000 FD/$4900 DK)

Ever since Killorn, Point, and Kucherov have gotten on the same second line for the Lightning, they have been unstoppable. I like this stack tonight against the struggling Ottawa Senators.

DEFENSEMEN

Top Defenseman Plays:

Jeff Petry vs New York Rangers ($4900 FD/$5400 DK)

Petry scored a goal on three shots, delivered four hits and blocked two shots over 26:05 of ice time in Tuesday’s 3-2 overtime loss to Philadelphia. He is seeing a tremendous amount of ice time for the Canadiens this season and will continue to do so with Weber out. He has proved himself to be a good number 1 defenseman for the Canadiens. Great play tonight against the Rangers.

Ryan Ellis vs San Jose Sharks ($5300 FD/$5300 DK)

Ellis has double digit FD points in 4 of his last 5 games and the one game he didn’t, he got 9.6. Those are great numbers for a defenseman who is not very expensive on either site. He has a goal and 3 assists in his last 2 games and I wouldn’t be the least surprised if he finds the score sheet again tonight.

Tyson Barrie @ Edmonton Oilers ($5400 FD/$5800 DK)

What a fantasy performance Barrie had the other night for the Avalanche. He had a goal and 4 assists for 51.3 FD points in that game. He has another great matchup tonight against the Oilers in a game that should be super high scoring. Vegas has the Avalanche winning this game slightly tonight.

Good Defenseman Plays:

Dougie Hamilton @ Arizona Coyotes ($5900 FD/$5600 DK)

Wow, Dougie Hamilton has been playing some of his best hockey lately for the Flames. In the first half of the season, Giordano seemed to be the go-to defenseman for them but now its all Hamilton. He has double digit FD points in 4 of his last 5, with 3 of those being over 25 FD points. Great matchup tonight against the Coyotes.

Keith Yandle vs Washington Capitals ($5200 FD/$4900 DK)

Yandle is a pretty consistent fantasy defenseman this season. He is fairly cheap too and finds most of his points from shots and blocked shots but occasionally he finds the score sheet with a goal or assist and maybe even two. Good matchup against the Capitals and Holtby, who are struggling mightily lately.

Roman Josi vs San Jose Sharks ($6200 FD/$6300 DK)

Josi has double digit fantasy points in 10 of his last 11 games for the Predators. That is mightily consistent if you ask me. He is great offensively when he joins the rush and plays some great defense on the back end as well. Can’t go wrong playing him and/or Ellis tonight.

Value Defenseman Plays:

Morgan Rielly vs New York Islanders ($4500 FD/$5500 DK)

Rielly is still on the first defensive pair for the Maple Leafs despite not really contributing much as of late. I prefer to take Gardiner on the second pair over him but I do think Rielly has a better game tonight than has last few.

Jake Gardiner vs New York Islanders ($4900 FD/$5100 DK)

Gardiner has been a very consistent defenseman fantasy wise this season. He plays over 20 minutes night in and night out. Always the opportunity for him to have a breakout game offensively with multiple assists.

Dion Phaneuf vs Dallas Stars ($4900 FD/$3700 DK)

The Phaneuf trade has worked out so well for the Kings so far as he has a goal in each of his two games with them. He has 20 FD points in those 2 games and is going up against the Dallas Stars, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him up their on the score sheet yet again.

GOALIES

Top Goalie Plays:

Frederik Andersen vs New York Islanders ($8700 FD/$8100 DK)

Naturally, the Islanders have had trouble away from the their home ice, as seen by their road record of 13-15-2. They still find the back of the net quite a bit but I feel like Andersen is your best chance of getting a win tonight. The goalie situation is kind of weird for an 11 game slate as I’m truly not 100% confident in any of them.

Pekka Rinne vs San Jose Sharks ($8900 FD/$7900 DK)

Rinne has won 8 of his last 10 games for the Predators, who have seemingly found a groove as we get into the second half of the season. He is the 2nd most expensive goalie on this 11 game slate tonight so he is not my first choice but I do like his chances of getting the win on home ice against the San Jose Sharks.

Good Goalie Plays:

Jonathan Quick vs Dallas Stars ($8800 FD/$7800 DK)

Quick is in a good spot tonight and has been playing much better hockey for the Kings lately. He has allowed two or less goals in five of his past six games and gets to face a Dallas team that is on the 2nd game of a back-to-back and is struggling to find the score sheet over the last 4 games.

Value Goalie Plays:

Petr Mrazek vs Columbus Blue Jackets ($7800 FD/$7700 DK)

Mrazek looks to start his campaign off with a bang for the Flyers tonight against the Blue Jackets. Columbus has only three wins in the past 10 games, making this a ripe matchup for Mrazek.

Antti Niemi (GPP Only) vs New York Rangers ($7500 FD/$7700 DK)

Niemi didn’t have a good start his last game against the Golden Knights as he lasted just 9 minutes and gave up 3 goals. I look for him to rebound tonight against the New York Rangers who are going to have a bunch of AHL players tonight as players like Nash and Grabner are not playing. Niemi is still just strictly a GPP only play tonight because we all know how bad he can be.

My Favorite GPP Stacks Tonight:

COL 1
MacKinnon, Rantanen, Landeskog

TB 2
Point-Kucherov-Killorn

FLA 1
Barkov-Bjugstad-Dadonov

MTL 1
Drouin-Pacioretty-Lehkonen

TOR 2
Kadri-Marner-Marleau

TOR 1
Matthews-Nylander-Hyman
