Good afternoon FanCavers. We have a nice slate tonight where we get to see the almighty Warriors face the Thunderdogs. We all want to make sure we get exposure to this game, but we’ll need some value plays in order to do so! Let’s get you a few guys that you can fill in your tournament or cash game lineups to fit some studs! I will use Fanduel pricing as a model and $5,000 or less players.
Mario Hezonja (SF: $5,000) – Hezonja is a higher priced value that I really like a lot today. Aaron Gordon still remains sidelined on this tail end of a back to back for the Magic. With Isaac and Vucevic already out the Magic front court is really thin. We have been seeing Hezonja play from the 4 for minutes in the high 20s, as well as a lot of Mo Speights. Hezonja has consistently been paying off his price and I see no reason he won’t tonight in an up paced match up against the Cavs. I expect him to see about 30 minutes and reach 25-30 FDP tonight paying off his salary. Hezonja is an option in all formats.
DJ Augustin (PG: $4,100) – Staying in this same game and on the same side of the ball I do have a little bit of interest in DJ Augustin today as a punt option. He typically sees a tad over 20 minutes as the Magic run a rather large rotation. Augustin shouldn’t have any trouble in this match up and at his current price he offers upside. I believe Augustin is a decent cash punt option today.
Sterling Brown (SG: $4,100) – Malcolm Brogdon and Dellavadova will be out for the Bucks tonight. Sterling Brown is not the best fantasy player, but any guy that’s set to get 26-30 minutes against the Knicks at only $4,100 should be on your radar. Brown may just fall into value tonight and although he’s not a top value option, he is interesting.
Josh Hart (SG: $5,000) – Welcome to the chalk of the slate. With everyone trying to fit in Harden and Westbrook I expect that Josh Hart will be very highly owned. He has seen 34 and 39 minutes in his last two games exploding for 37.8 and 34.2 FDP. Go ahead and lock Hart into all of your lineups with extreme confidence tonight as he is tonight’s Lance Stephenson.
Tyler Ulis (PG: $3,700) – On the other side of the ball, Booker and Canaan will be out for tonight’s contest which should open up a boat load of minutes for Tyler Ulis. Ulis is more than a fine punt play today and makes for a very appealing value play to tag along with Westbrook at the PG position. He is likely to see around 30 minutes today in an up paced match up. He averages 0.74 fantasy points per minute and thats with Booker on the court which would equal 22 FDP for the youngster. Without Booker his usage should go up and he should get you a nice 20-25 FDP this evening. Ulis is a play in all formats tonight.
That does it for tonight and as always be sure to hop in the slack chat as plays will arise as the slate gets closer and more news breaks. Let’s cash out tonight!
