NBA Value Plays – 1/11

• Point Guard
Jawun Evans – 5/2/2 [ $5,100 / $5,300 ] Currently, Milos Teodosic is listed questionable and Austin Rivers is out, meaning, Jawun Evans is in line to see some nice playing time, once again, against the Kings. Evans has played 36+ minutes in each of his last 2 games, and with the Clippers short-handed, he’s pretty much a lock to retain his new role. Sacramento owns the league’s worst defense.
• Shooting Guard
Tyrone Wallace – 15/2/3 [ $3,600 / $3,800 ] Last night, CJ Williams was injured and has since been ruled out for tonight’s contest, which allows Tyrone Wallace to see even more time. Wallace has played 31+ minutes in 2 of his last, and only, 3 outings of his career, and while he’s not known for shooting, he’s scored double digits every game. The Kings allow the highest field goal percentage.
• Small Forward
CJ Miles – 9/1 [ $3,800 / $3,600 ] The Cavaliers and Raptors are implied to score the highest team totals on tonight’s 3 game slate, with the game having a solid over/under of 219.5 – *at time of writing. CJ Miles has been afforded 16+ minutes in each of his previous 7 matches, while registering decent scoring production. Miles could be a starter, as he was last time that Ibaka was suspended.
• Power Forward
Davis Bertans – 5/1 [ $4,500 / $4,500 ] With Kawhi Leonard, Rudy Gay, and Danny Green out, Davis Bertans has been playing a lot lately, seeing 27+ minutes of action in all 4 of his prior outings. Bertans has shown his ability to score, putting up 28 points in the last game versus the Kings, on an impressive 11-15 shooting and 6-9 from three-point. The Lakers have struggled against bigs.
Tristan Thompson – 5/5 [ $3,900 / $3,900 ] This is more of an instinct play, however, Tristan Thompson has played good minutes as of late, and offers tremendous effort on the boards, as well as inside scoring. Coming off the bench may not be a bad thing in this one, especially if things get out of hand, with Lowry and Ibaka out. The Raptors allow 45.6 points in the paint per game.
Extras: Murray, Ginobili, Dekker, Siakam, Koufos.
