• Point Guard
Russell Westbrook – 24/10/9 [ $11,800 / $11,500 ] Russell Westbrook is carrying over last year’s success, dropping 3 triple doubles in his last 4 games, totaling to an incredible 14 triple doubles on the season. Both Portland and Oklahoma City rank in the top 5 defensively, which could lead to a close, competitive match, even with Lillard sidelined. He’s hard to fade on this slate.
De’Aaron Fox – 9/4/2 [ $5,600 / $5,500 ] With George Hill and Frank Mason both ruled out for tonight’s meeting with the Lakers, De’Aaron Fox is in line to see a ton of minutes and usage as the only healthy point guard. This game offers a major pace up situation, as Los Angeles ranks 1st in pace and Sacramento ranks 29th. Fox and Ball have some history, which is very intriguing.
• Shooting Guard
DeMar DeRozan – 25/4/4 [ $9,300 / $8,300 ] Kyle Lowry was injured near the end of last night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets and is out tonight, meaning, DeMar DeRozan is even more so the clear cut option. DeRozan has been impressive over his last 4 outings, putting up 51.6+ FanDuel in 3 of those matches. Scoring comes easy, but he’s been pretty productive all around, lately.
CJ McCollum – 21/3/4 [ $7,500 / $7,500 ] Damian Lillard is out tonight, opening up more usage for CJ McCollum, who should have his hands full against the tough defense of the Thunder, although Roberson is out. In the past, McCollum has played well when Lillard has been out, allowing for more upside and a certain safety. He’s just too cheap to not consider, with only 4 games.
• Small Forward
Brandon Ingram – 16/3/5 [ $7,000 / $6,800 ] Brandon Ingram hasn’t been all that good lately, sans Charlotte, but looks to get things back on track versus an injured and struggling Sacramento Kings team, tonight. The Kings own the 30th ranked defense in the league with a 110.2 team defensive rating, ensuring a ton of opportunities. With Ball back, things will flow a bit smoother.
Harrison Barnes – 18/2/6 [ $6,800 / $7,000 ] Harrison Barnes continues to be the consistent player that he has become, putting up 32+ FanDuel points in each of his previous 4 contests. Barnes’ opponent, the Orlando Magic, possess the 26th ranked defense among the league, holding a 108.2 team defensive rating. Dallas is implied to score a slate high 111 points, making him a stud.
• Power Forward
Aaron Gordon – 19/8 [ $8,300 / $8,600 ] Aaron Gordon is priced incredibly high, tonight, but his immense ceiling and excellent matchup allow for it. Since returning from his injury, Gordon has played 30+ minutes per game, while putting double digit scoring efforts and 7+ rebounds in all outings. I don’t think to pay up for him, however, he is the top power forward play, easily.
Serge Ibaka – 13/6/1 [ $5,900 / $5,600 ] As mentioned above, Kyle Lowry will not play in tonight’s matchup, giving Serge Ibaka plenty of looks, as well as the high probability of more minutes played. Miami holds the 20th spot in rebounding percentage at 49.5%, allowing him a nice cushion on the boards. He’ll be the 2nd option with Lowry out and lately has put up solid numbers.
Steven Adams – 13/8/1 [ $7,100 / $6,400 ] The Portland Trailblazers have struggled in the front court recently, allowing more rebounds and points to opposing big, which only helps Steven Adams. Although they’re significantly worse against the power forward position, the worst over the last 5 games, Adams is always in the center of action. Has been right around value recently.
Bismack Biyombo – 4/5/1 [ $5,600 / $5,800 ] Since Nikola Vucevic went down with an injury, Bismack Biyombo has fit in nicely, putting up 31.4+ FanDuel when he sees 28+ minutes. While the Mavericks are the best at stopping points in the paint, they struggle to rebound at times, ranking 21st in defensive rebound percentage, grabbing 32.8 per game. In a nice spot for his price.
Extras: Smith, Matthews, George, Anthony, Whiteside.
* Shabazz Napier and Delon Wright provide nice value.
