NBA Value Plays – 1/3

  1. Plays are based solely on opposition and pricing.
  2. FanDuel and DraftKings prices listed respectively.

• Point Guard

Terry Rozier [ $4,100 / $4,700 ] Terry Rozier has been great over his last 4 outings, putting up 29.4+ FanDuel points, while playing no more than 26 minutes per game. In a matchup that is expected to be very competitive, Rozier should have his way against the Cavs’ 108.7 team defensive rating – ranked 29th in the league. He’s a much better play on FanDuel at that lower price.

Dejounte Murray [ $3,500 / $4,700 ] With the recent news that many Spurs will be resting, including Tony Parker, Dejounte Murray is in line to see a lot of minutes. Last game, Murray played only 13 minutes, but put up 25.1 FanDuel points, backed by 2/1/8 along with 2 steals and 2 blocks. He’ll likely be one of the chalkier picks of the night, given his low price and nice upside.

• Shooting Guard

Malcolm Brogdon [ $4,800 / $4,800 ] Malcom Brogdon has played a minimum of 25 minutes per game in 14 of his last 15 contests. The Pacers and Bucks rank 22nd and 23rd in the league defensively, respectively, meaning this game could stay close, even with Victor Oladipo sidelined. Brogdon has put up 24.5+ FanDuel points in 3 of his previous 4 matches and remains cheap.

Nik Stauskas [ $3,500 / $3,400 ] Caris LeVert has been ruled out of tonight’s meeting with the Minnesota Timberwolves, which could open up some extra playing time for the recently acquired Nik Stauskas. While he hasn’t seen a ton of action as of late, Stauskas is in line and has been productive in adequate minutes. Minnesota possesses the 24th ranked defense in the league.

• Small Forward

Kyle Anderson [ $4,900 / $5,300 ] As expected, San Antonio will rest Kawhi Leonard on the back to back, and with Rudy Gay out with an injury, Kyle Anderson is the only healthy small forward. Although Anderson didn’t produce much last night, he has been good lately, putting up 25.4+ FanDuel points in 2 of his prior 3 games. Like his teammate, Murray, he’ll likely be a chalky play.

Gerald Green [ $4,000 / $4,100 ] Since signing with the Rockets, Gerald Green has seen solid minutes, especially in the past 2 matches, and has produced consecutive double digit scoring efforts. With Harden out, Green has a chance at playing even more, tonight against the Magic, who own the 26th worst defense with a 107.9 rating. Could see lower level ownership on him.

• Power Forward

Jordan Bell [ $5,200 / $4,600 ] If Draymond Green sits, who is questionable to play – at the time of writing, Jordan Bell will likely slide into the starting lineup, where he has excelled. In the last matchup versus the Dallas Mavericks, Bell went for 31.2 FanDuel points, fueled by 8/6 with 8 assists and 2 steals in just 24 minutes. Despite a crowded front court, he sees consistent time.

Jae Crowder [ $4,300 / $3,900 ] After last night’s meeting with the Trailblazers, Jae Crowder figures to be somewhat of a popular, lower owned play on this slate. Crowder has been playing nice minutes lately, while contributing on both ends of the floor, making him a versatile play. This will be the 1st time that he plays at the Garden since being traded during the offseason.

• Center

Greg Monroe [ $5,200 / $4,500 ] The Phoenix Suns are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights, and are on the 2nd leg of a back to back, which could hint at the possibility of Tyson Chandler being rested. If that indeed happens, Greg Monroe would be in line to see some minutes and may be inserted as a starter. When Monroe has played 25+ minutes, he has put up 25+ FanDuel points.

Marcin Gortat [ $4,100 / $4,700 ] Even with opposing center Enes Kanter’s reputation, this will not be an easy night for Marcin Gortat. The Knicks have been pretty good defensively this season, holding the 14th ranked defense in the league and have rebounded well most of the year. However, Gortat is very cheap, especially on FanDuel, and Wall knows how to get him open.
