• Point Guard
Kemba Walker – 21/5/3 [ $8,000 / $7,500 ] Kemba Walker has been good over his last 2 games, putting up 43.5 and 39.2 FanDuel point efforts, respectively. Tonight’s matchup with the Kings is a promising one, as Sacramento ranks dead last defensively, with a 110.0 team defensive rating. Walker has limited turnovers to 1 per game in that span, while also being productive on defense.
Dennis Schroder – 19/6/3 [ $7,700 / $7,300 ] Dennis Schroder continues to impress, as he has put up 36.5+ FanDuel points in each of his previous 4 outings. Schroder’s 29.3% usage and solid minutes of 30+ per game, provide a certain safety, even at his higher price. Phoenix owns the 29th worst defense, owning a 108.7 defensive rating, and plays at the league’s 3rd fastest pace.
Frank Ntilikina – 5/3/2 [ $4,700 / $4,300 ] Frank Ntilikina is strictly a gpp play, but he has shown success in this matchup before, putting up 9/11/3 along with 3 steals in his 31 minutes played. Ntilikina has slowly, but surely, begun to see more minutes, and if the Spurs play at their best, he should see more time. In their last 10 games, San Antonio hasn’t stopped point guards all to well.
• Shooting Guard
Tyreke Evans – 19/4/5 [ $9,000 / $8,200 ] As of now, Tyreke Evans looks like the front runner to win Most Improved, and his play throughout his last 8 contests has been superb, putting up 41.1+ in 7 of those matches. Evans possesses a 27.8% usage and has elevated his shot tremendously, shooting 47.5% from the field and 42.6% from three. Had 61.9 FanDuel points in last meeting.
Devin Booker – 24/4/4 [ $8,000 / $9,100 ] Devin Booker hasn’t lost a step since returning from injury, as he put up 41+ FanDuel points performance in 2 of his 3 games back. Atlanta ranks 27th among the league in defense, possessing a 108.1 team defensive rating. Booker’s 30.0% usage and effective volume shooting, make him a nice play against a team who allows 47.3% shooting.
CJ McCollum – 21/2/4 [ $7,100 / $7,300 ] With Damian Lillard back, CJ McCollum will undoubtedly take a hit in usage, however, things should go a bit smoother, as Lillard will draw more attention. Cleveland holds the 28th ranked defense in the league, with a 108.7 team defense. This game will likely have a slow to moderate pace, but McCollum will have plenty of opportunities.
• Small Forward
LeBron James – 27/9/8 [ $11,500 / $11,700 ] There’s not much reason to not play LeBron James tonight, as he is priced below 12k on both sites, and has upside like no one else. The Cavs’ continuous defensive struggles have kept opposing teams in games, forcing LeBron to play about 35+ minutes every night. This is another tough spot, as Portland has the 4th best defensive team.
Taurean Prince – 13/2/5 [ $6,000 / $5,500 ] Taurean Prince has been, or very close to, producing value and more, in his prior 3 outings, putting up 2 games of 28.5+ FanDuel points and another being a 49.5 FanDuel point effort. With all that said, Prince is in another great spot, here, tonight. His individual opponent, TJ Warren, owns a 107.8 defensive rating, making him a solid play.
Kyle Anderson – 8/2/5 [ $4,200 / $4,900 ] The Spurs have been very cautious with Kawhi Leonard, as they should be, and after the injury to Rudy Gay, they’re a bit short handed in minutes, freeing up Kyle Anderson. In his last 2 matches, Anderson has put up 27.6 and 25.4 FanDuel points, the former being against tonight’s matchup, the NYK. He’s a fantastic value play, with upside.
• Power Forward
LaMarcus Aldridge – 21/8/1 [ $8,500 / $7,600 ] While I don’t think LaMarcus Aldridge is a necessary play on this slate, he has been quite good as of late, putting up 41.8+ FanDuel in 3 of his last 4 contests. In the previous meeting with the Knicks, Aldridge scored 25 points, grabbed 5 boards, and had 2 blocks along with 4 assists. If Kawhi sits for some reason, he’s in for a huge night.
John Collins – 11/7/1 [ $5,900 / $4,900 ] The Hawks have been a bit of a reoccurring theme in this article, as this game possesses a lot of value, added with a pretty good pace and some bad defense. John Collins hasn’t seen a ton of minutes this year, but has performed extremely well when he has been out there. Collins has put up a cool 26.8+ FanDuel points in 7 of his past 9 outings.
Frank Kaminsky – 10/4 [ $5,200 / $4,300 ] Frank Kaminsky is definitely my favorite power forward, as he has been phenomenal in his last 2 matches, putting up 34.7+ FanDuel points, while producing everywhere. The Kings have been dominated on the glass, ranking 28th in rebound percentage and 30th in defensive rebounds with 30.6 per game. Kaminsky is an all around big.
Dwight Howard – 15/12/1 [ $8,900 / $7,400 ] As mentioned above, Sacramento has been destroyed on the boards all year, and with the way Dwight Howard has been playing this season, he’s a very intriguing play. The only downside to playing Howard, is that the Kings have been pretty decent at limiting points in the paint. He’s a much nicer play on DraftKings, at that lower price.
Kevin Love – 20/10 [ $7,900 / $8,700 ] Kevin Love is currently questionable to play ( at the time of writing ), as he is dealing with an illness. If Love were to play, he’s in a sweet spot, as the Trailblazers have been slacking on the rebounding side of things lately, and his stretch ability would be a problem to defend. LeBron James, Jeff Green, and Tristan Thompson would see boosts.
Tyson Chandler – 6/9 [ $4,500 / $4,400 ] Tyson Chandler is one of the best value plays you’ll find, as he has played 29 and 30 minutes in his past 2 games, respectively, and remains incredibly cheap. The Hawks are a great team to target on the inside, as they rank 29th in defensive rebounding, grabbing a mere 30.8 per game. Chandler has started the last few and will likely, here.
Extras: Lillard, Williams, Warren, Green, Gasol.
