How’s it going football fans? Welcome back to the weekly NFL picks with DFS analyst, Manick Thind. Every week I will give you the best options to help you make all that sweet, sweet cash. Hit me up on twitter (@BleedPurpleDFS) if you ever want to talk DFS or football. For reference, I will using both FanDuel and DraftKings pricing for the players. Now without further ado, lets get into the picks.
Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints (FD $8,200/DK $6,500): Every week I love to target the awful Buccaneers defense and I am doing again this week. Brees should not have any issues dealing with the worst passing defense in the league. Although the Saints have a strong running game, Brees is always capable of putting up numbers especially in a game that can give them the division.
Kirk Cousins, Washington Redskins (FD $7,600/DK $6,200): Cousins has been inconsistent this season but in a game that means a lot to his contract this offseason, he should have a strong performance. Cousins is also going against the Giants who have second worst passing defense in the league. In Cousins final game before a new contract, he is going to have to play great.
Other Options: Tom Brady, Philip Rivers, Case Keenum
Kenyan Drake, Miami Dolphins (FD $7,000/DK $7,200): Ever since Damien Williams has been out, Drake has shined in this Dolphins offense. This week Drake is going against the third worst rushing defense in the league. Since Cutler is inconsistent, they are going to keep relying on Drake for many touches.
Alex Collins, Baltimore Ravens (FD $6,800/DK $5,600): Collins has been a sleeper all year with multiple 15+ point games at a very cheap price. This week he is going up against a Bengals D that has allowed the second most rushing yards this season and should be able to eat. The Ravens are also going to come out trying to secure a playoff spot against a Bengals team that already fired their coach. Collins is a solid choice this week.
Since they aren’t many teams that are going 100% this week, the best option is to stack WR’s with your QB, I would target the following:
Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers (FD $8,600/DK $7,800)
Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints (FD $8,200/DK $7,700)
Stefon Diggs, Minnesota Vikings (FD $7,600/DK $6,000)
Brandin Cooks, New England Patriots (FD $7,400/DK $6,300)
Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings (FD $7,400/DK $7,600)
Jamison Crowder, Washington Redskins (FD $7,000/DK $5,800)
Antonio Gates, Los Angeles Chargers (FD $5,700/DK $4,200): Since Hunter Henry has been put on IR, Gates has become Rivers redzone favourite target again with a touchdown in his last two games. This week the Chargers are going against a Raiders team that is dead last in guarding TE’s in the last four weeks and are out of playoff contention. The Chargers are trying to get into the playoff so they will be coming out hard, expect Gates to keep up this hot streak.
New England Patriots (FD $5,100/DK $3,500): Belichek does not like to rest his starters even with the bye week locked and they are going against Bryce Petty and the Jets, do I need to say more?
New Orleans Saints (FD $4,600/DK $3,300): A Saints defense that has the fourth most interceptions this season is going against Jameis Winston that loves to throw picks.
Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens (FD $5,000)
Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers (FD $4,800)
Thank you for reading and best of luck this week!
