How’s it going football fans? Welcome back to the weekly NFL picks with DFS analyst, Manick Thind. Every week I will give you the best options to help you make all that sweet, sweet cash. Hit me up on twitter (@BleedPurpleDFS) if you ever want to talk DFS or football. For reference, I will using both FanDuel and DraftKings pricing for the players. Now without further ado, lets get into the picks.
*These are my picks of the week regardless of budget, if you want the sleepers check out:
Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders (FD $8,000/DK $6,400): Derek Carr’s talent is great but he has not been consistent this season, this week he is going against an awful Chiefs defense. The Chiefs have allowed the fifth most passing yards per game this season and are now without their best defensive player, CB Marcus Peters due to suspension. Now with Carr picking it up and the return of Crabtree, all the pieces are falling into place this week for Carr to put up big numbers.
Other Options: Jameis Winston, Josh McCown, Marcus Mariota
Avoid: Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz
Jordan Howard, Chicago Bears (FD $7,000/DK $5,400): I love Jordan Howard again and surprisingly, he is even cheaper this week. Going against the Bengals who are coming off a short week, have the fifth worse rushing defense and will most likely be without their best linebacker, Vontaze Burfict. Also, Chicago still haven’t gave Mitch Trubisky the keys to the offense yet, so the Howard will have a high amount of touches. I can see Howard torching the Bengals this week.
Other Options: Lamar Miller, Giovani Bernard (If Mixon is out), Samaje Perine
Avoid: Melvin Gordon, Alfred Morris
Michael Crabtree, Oakland Raiders (FD $7,100/DK $6,700): Crabtree is coming back off suspension this week and I expect him to play with fire this week. He will see a high amount of targets this week with Cooper still out. Also as I said with Carr, the Chiefs defense is garbage and now without Marcus Peters, no one will be able to cover Crabtree.
Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers (FD $6,900/DK $6,600): It seems that Brett Hundley developed a lot of chemistry with Adams over the weeks because he is now the #1 WR in the Packers offense. Averaging over 8 targets per game in the last five games, he will be getting his fair share of touches this week. Also, the Browns Pass D has given up the third most receiving touchdowns this season and combine that with Adams nose for the endzone, this could be a big game.
Other Options: Lions Stack (if Stafford is playing), Josh Gordon, T.Y. Hilton
Avoid: Keenan Allen, Tyreek Hill
Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings (FD $6,000/DK $4,800): Rudolph has been one of the best redzone targets throughout the years and now Case Keenum is taking full advantage of him. With 3 touchdowns in his last two games, they have become a fearsome duo in this league. Don’t expect him to get big yards or a high amount of receptions but he has the potential to get in the endzone a couple times.
Other Options: Evan Engram, Austin-Seferian Jenkins
Avoid: Jimmy Graham, Greg Olsen
Detroit Lions (FD $4,700/DK $2,700)
San Francisco 49ers (FD $5,000/DK $3,000)
Avoid: Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennesse Titans
Mason Crosby (FD $4,800)
Adam Vinatieri (FD $4,600)
Thank you for reading and best of luck this week!
