NBA Plays of the Day – 11/30
- Plays are based on stats, opposition, and pricing.
- FanDuel and DraftKings prices listed respectively.
- Averaged 17-18 Season stats after player’s names.
• Point Guard
Kyrie Irving – 22/5/3 [ $8,200 / $8,400 ] Kyrie Irving has been phenomenal this season and has put up at least 30 fantasy points in all but 2 games that he has played in. Kyrie’s matchup along with his 30.3 usage percentage make him a great play in a game that should stay rather competitive, despite Embiid not playing.
Eric Bledsoe – 15/4/3 [ $7,500 / $6,800 ] Since being traded to Milwaukee, Eric Bledsoe has seen a rejuvenation to his game, especially over his last 4 outings. While Portland has been sensational defensively this season, owning a 99.3 team defense, I just don’t buy Lillard being able to check Bledsoe much this game.
Kris Dunn – 11/4/4 [ $6,500 / $6,000 ] Kris Dunn has had a bit of an up and down start to the year, but he has shown great potential in a few games. This game looks to be a shootout, with both teams giving up over 106 points per game and Dunn’s rising game and defensive abilities make him a solid play.
• Shooting Guard
Donovan Mitchell – 14/3/3 [ $6,800 / $6,900 ] Though he is already in the starting lineup, Donovan Mitchell could see more minutes with Rodney Hood out tonight. Mitchell already possesses an immense usage percentage of 27.8 and the Clippers’ guards are much about nothing defensively to stop his explosive style.
Justin Holiday – 14/2/4 [ $6,000 / $5,800 ] Justin Holiday has made a big impact for this Chicago Bulls team and while they aren’t winning, he’s been quite productive. In a pace up situation, though not much, Holiday should have plenty of opportunities in his 34+ minutes to get things done against the Nuggets, tonight.
Dwyane Wade – 10/3/3 [ $6,000 / $5,600 ] In an expected blowout game, especially with how Cleveland has been playing as of late, Dwyane Wade gives insurance. While Wade has only played around 23 minutes per game, his offensive rating is the third highest in his career at 110.0 and his usage of 24.2 isn’t too shabby.
• Small Forward
LeBron James – 28/8/8 [ $12,000 / $11,700 ] After his first career ejection, in his now 15 year campaign, I’m extremely excited to see how LeBron James responds. As mentioned above, this is probably a blowout situation, however, if that is to be the case it will most likely be because of James, who had 26/13/5 in their first meeting.
Robert Covington – 14/1/6 [ $6,200 / $6,200 ] No Embiid means more usage for many other guys on the Sixers team and Robert Covington should, easily, be right behind Simmons in that category. This spot is gonna be tough for Covington, as the Celtics are the best defensive team in the league, which could mean reduced ownership on him.
Jaylen Brown – 15/1/6 [ $5,900 / $6,100 ] Philadelphia has been awful defensively this year against opposing guards, giving Jaylen Brown an edge to takeover. I don’t mind this spot for Brown, because in their first matchup he had 24.6 FanDuel points and had a relatively off game, but still got decent production in – different story if he’s on.
• Power Forward
Ben Simmons – 18/7/9 [ $9,900 / $9,300 ] Ben Simmons has impressed the basketball world with his game and will be the clear focal point tonight, with Embiid out. Simmons is by and far my lock of the night; not only has he been phenomenal this year, but Embiid is out, which should should increase his usage of 25.0 and put him on triple double watch.
Derrick Favors – 13/6/1 [ $7,400 / $6,600 ] Rudy Gobert’s unfortunate injury has opened a window for Derrick Favors and without the force of Blake Griffin, he’s in a nice position. The LA Clippers have been surprisingly bad on the glass this season, ranking 24th in the league, and things don’t get much better with Griffin out.
John Collins – 11/7 [ $5,900 / $5,500 ] The injury to Dewayne Dedmon and lingering problems with some other forwards, has thrusted John Collins into the starting lineup, again. Collins’ ever increasing minutes along with his matchup make him a nice play, even with the Cavs being great defensively over their last 5 games.
Kevin Love – 18/10 [ $7,800 / $8,000 ] Kevin Love has been a bit of a hit or miss so far this season and his minutes have been rather low, but he always has big game potential. The Hawks have been just as awful on defense this year as the Cavs, meaning Love should be able to beat them inside and out, especially without Dedmon.
Jusuf Nurkic – 15/7/1 [ $7,400 / $6,700 ] Jusuf Nurkic is in one of the best spots tonight to have a big performance against a struggling rebounding team, in Milwaukee. The Bucks are in the bottom tier for defensive rebounding and are even worse in rebound percentage, while Nurkic and Portland are great rebounds and should exploit them on the boards.
Al Horford – 13/8 [ $7,300 / $6,800 ] In a game between two powerhouses, Al Horford could really be a huge factor without the fear of Embiid breathing down his neck all game. With Aaron Barnes starting alongside Horford, he should get more touches, as Baynes isn’t known much for his shooting and Philly has solid defense elsewhere.
Extras: Lillard, Bazemore, Giannis, Saric, Jordan.
