NBA Plays of the Day – 11/28

  1. Plays are based on stats, opposition, and pricing.
  2. FanDuel and DraftKings prices listed respectively.
  3. Averaged 17-18 Season stats after player’s names.

• Point Guard

Eric Bledsoe – 15/4/3 [ $7,000 / $6,600 ] Eric Bledsoe has been impressive over his last 3 games, scoring a minimum of 36.9 FanDuel points while playing at least 30 minutes per game. Bledsoe’s matchup with the Kings is a nice one, as Sacramento ranks 29th in the league with a 108.7 team defense and they have struggled with opposing guards.

Goran Dragic – 19/4/4 [ $6,900 / $7,500 ] In his last 3 games, Goran Dragic has scored at least 20ppg and tonight’s matchup with Cleveland doesn’t pose much of a threat to that streak. Dragic’s game has been rock solid this year, especially his shooting numbers and with tonight’s game against a struggling, but improving Cleveland defense, he could go off.

Ricky Rubio – 12/5/3 [ $5,700 / $5,400 ] While Ricky Rubio hasn’t played over 23 minutes per game throughout his last 4 outings, he still remains a huge piece to this team with Rudy Gobert out. Rubio, like the other 2 point guards listed above, is in a sweet spot against Denver, and his individual matchup with Jamal Murray favors the Spaniard, on most levels.

• Shooting Guard

Bradley Beal – 24/3/4 [ $8,300 / $7,900 ] With John Wall out for at least another week, Bradley Beal is the go to guy, to which he has proved worthy of in the last few contests. Wiggins is a terrible defender, owning an okay defensive rating of 105.2, giving the crafty sharpshooter, Beal, leverage over his matchup and a sloppy Minnesota team, as a whole.

Donovan Mitchell – 14/3/3 [ $7,300 / $6,500 ] Donovan Mitchell has shown signs of future stardom with highlight plays and his overall game, setting him aside from many of the other rookies. Mitchell’s minutes and play style offer a safe floor and an incredibly high ceiling, making him solid play against the fast paced Denver Nuggets.

Dion Waiters – 15/3/2 [ $6,100 / $6,200 ] Over his last 4 games, Dion Waiters has been a bit of a disappointment, putting up 2 dismal performances of 8.9 and 12.5 FanDuel points, respectively. The Cavs have struggled all year against just about anyone, but Waiters skill set and ability to take control of a game put him above many other options, tonight.

• Small Forward

TJ Warren – 18/1/5 [ $7,400 / $7,300 ] In the last meeting with the Chicago Bulls, TJ Warren had a huge game, putting up a solid stat line of 27/1/7 with 2 blocks and a steal in just 33 minutes. I fully expect Warren to have a similar outing in this one, as Chicago has been dreadful defensively, possessing a 108.6 team defense.

Otto Porter Jr. – 16/1/7 [ $7,300 / $6,400 ] Similarly to his teammate, Bradley Beal, Otto Porter Jr. has seen some increase with John Wall out, and that may prove valuable against Minnesota. Porter has a great matchup tonight and while Butler has a reputation for his tough defense, Minnesota has been torched by opposing forwards this season.

Joe Ingles – 10/3/4 [ $5,800 / $4,800 ] Although Joe Ingles has yet to score at least 20 points in a single game this season he has expanded his game into more than just a sharpshooter, nicely. Ingles recent play isn’t exactly eye popping, but his matchup, along with his price on DraftKings makes him a nice gpp play.

• Power Forward

Derrick Favors – 12/6/1 [ $6,900 / $6,300 ] Rudy Gobert’s unfortunate injury has given a bump to several Jazz players, however, Derrick Favors has seen that biggest increase and he has taken advantage of the time. The Nuggets will undoubtedly take a hit defensively with the injury to Millsap, and with Gobert out this is a great spot for Favors.

Taj Gibson – 10/8 [ $5,300 / $5,800 ] Taj Gibson has solidified himself as a key piece on this Timberwolves team and played great in 2 of his last 3 matches, with 46.8 and 37.3 FanDuel point outings. While the Wizards rank decently in defense, 13th in the league, Morris and Gortat have been lackluster defensively over the last few years, giving Gibson an opening.

Markieff Morris – 9/4 [ $5,200 / $4,700 ] Even with the addition of Gibson, Minnesota remains a bad team defensively, especially in the paint, which could potentially mean a big game for Markieff Morris. Though Taj Gibson is great defender, cumulatively the Minnesota Timberwolves aren’t and with Wall out, Morris should see more usage.

• Center

Karl-Anthony Towns – 20/11/1 [ $9,500 / $9,100 ] Both teams have struggled against opposing big men over the last couple of years and Karl-Anthony Towns is always in line for monstrous performances. As mentioned above, the Wizards struggle against bigs and Towns is an incredible talent who should have no troubles against Gortat’s 104.8 defensive rating.

Willie Cauley-Stein – 10/6/1 [ $6,300 / $5,100 ] Willie Cauley-Stein has been phenomenal in 5 of his last 6 games and is in another solid spot to do so yet again. The Milwaukee Bucks have been absolutely awful on the boards this year, grabbing 31.1 defensive rebounds per game, as to which the athletic Cauley-Stein could easily benefit from.

Marcin Gortat – 10/9 [ $4,900 / $5,000 ] Like his front court teammate, Markieff Morris, and maybe even more so, Marcin Gortat is in a great spot against the weak defense of Towns to have a solid outing. While KAT is a great young talent he does have a flaw to his game, defense, owning a 110.7 defensive rating, allowing Gortat an easier game than expected.

Extras: Frazier, Barton, Giannis, Randolph, Jokic.
