NFL DFS: Week 12 Picks

How is it going football fans?!? Welcome back to the weekly NFL picks with self proclaimed DFS expert, Manick Thind. Every week I give you the best options to help you make all that sweet, sweet cash.  If you ever need DFS advice or want to talk NFL don’t hesitate to contact me on twitter @BleedPurple84. My usual format would include more options at each position but a lot of good players already played on Thanksgiving. For reference, I will using both FanDuel and DraftKings pricing for the players. Now without further ado, lets get into the picks.

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons (FD $7,600/DK $6,400): Matty Ice is catching fire down the stretch of this season with 8 touchdown passes in his last four games. Although he did not get many yards last week vs. Seattle, I expect to him bounce back no problems this week against a struggling Buccaneers secondary. The Bucs have the second worst passing defense in the league, allowing 276 yards per game. Ryan coming at a small discount can give big points.

Other Options: Tyrod Taylor (FD $ 6,900/DK $5,800), Jacoby Brissett (FD $ 6,900/DK $5,400)

Avoid: Cam Newton, Alex Smith

Christian McCaffrey, Carolina Panthers (FD $6,700/DK $6,900): Yes I know, I know I said avoid Cam Newton, with his thumb injury on top of his already shaky accuracy. But McCaffrey has been living up to his draft hype recently with his production since Kelvin Benjamin was traded. With a combined 144 scrimmage yards and 2 touchdowns in the last two games against solid defenses, he is a mismatch for the Jets who have been with an on and off defense all season. This might be the last week you can get McCaffrey for cheap, so scoop him up.

Other Options: Leonard Fournette (FD $8,100/DK $8,100), Adrian Peterson (FD $5,900/DK $5,000), Duke Johnson Jr. (FD $5,500/DK $4,600)

Avoid: Kareem Hunt, Jordan Howard

Alshon Jeffery, Philadelphia Eagles (FD $7,100/DK $6,300): Im getting a #1 WR on a team with a star QB in a blowout game? Count me in. Alshon has not been that elite receiver we are used to seeing this season (never hit 100 yards in a game yet), but he has been picking it up recently with 4 touchdowns in his last three games. With him now getting into the offense more and more, expect him to get into the endzone again on Sunday.

Brandin Cooks, New England Patriots (FD $7,600/DK $7,100): Cooks nearly has an identical situation to Jeffery this Sunday but is your more safe yet more expensive option. Coming off his best game as a Patriot (149 yds and a touchdown), Cooks will carry that momentum into this weeks game. With Chris Hogan and Rob Gronkowski questionable for Sunday, Cooks could receive a high amount of targets and match what he did last week.

Other Options: T.Y. Hilton (FD $6,200/DK $6,700), Mohamed Sanu (FD $5,800/DK $5,200)

Avoid: Devin Funchess, Michael Thomas

Tyler Kroft, Cincinnati Bengals  (FD $5,700/DK $3,900): For this week I am probably going with either Gronk or Ertz but for those of you who decided to splurge on other positions, Kroft should be your go to option. Filling in for the injured Tyler Eifert this season, Kroft has been meh. But I like anyone going against the Browns who have allowed the second most fantasy points to tight ends this season, especially with an Andy Dalton who just threw 3 touchdowns against the Broncos D. I don’t see many good value tight ends this week but I can see Kroft giving you some production.

Other Options: Delanie Walker (FD $6,200/DK $5,000), Jack Doyle (FD $5,500/DK $4,500)

Avoid: Travis Kelce

Jacksonville Jaguars (FD $5,500 /DK $4,100): Sacksonville might be a little expensive but it is because they are looking like the best defensive team in the league recently with the most sacks (40!), and allowing the least amount of points and yards per game. They are going up against the not-so scary Arizona offense led by Blaine Gabbert and a struggling offensive line. Expect the Jags to keep up the sacks and turnover numbers this week.

Other Options: Oakland Raiders (FD $4,400/DK $3,000), New England Patriots (FD $4,700/DK $3,400)

Avoid: Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos

Graham Gano (FD $4,900)

Adam Vinatieri (FD $4,700)

Brandon McManus (FD $4,600)

Thank you for reading and best of luck this week!
