NBA Plays of the Day – 10/26

  1. Plays are based on stats, opposition, and pricing.
  2. FanDuel and DraftKings prices listed respectively.
  3. Averaged 2017-18 Season stats after player’s name.
  • Point Guard

Jrue Holiday – 11/5/5 [ $7,300 / $6,200 ] With Anthony Davis likely to be out tonight, Jrue Holiday will definitely see more usage and will be the second option. Holiday is in line for a solid night and should be overlooked, making him a fine contrarian play in all formats.

Jerian Grant – 10/7/4 [ $6,500 / $5,500 ] Kris Dunn is out again with an injury, meaning Jerian Grant still remains the go to guy at the point for Chicago. Grant has been getting things rolling and with the backup Delaney on him, he could have a nice game.

Patrick Beverley – 14/2/3 [ $6,300 / $5,200 ] Patrick Beverley is off to a great start with his new team, the Clippers, bringing consistency and intensity to the court. There’s no doubt Beverley, though not a great offensive player, will have his way against Lillard tonight.

Malcolm Delaney – 5/2/2 [ $4,800 / $4,400 ] Since Dennis Schroder injured his foot, Malcolm Delaney has shifted to the starting role and fit in nicely. While Delaney doesn’t have an incredibly high ceiling, his minutes and usage make him a good all around play.

  • Shooting Guard

CJ McCollum – 25/1/4 [ $7,700 / $7,300 ] In a matchup versus the Clippers, Damian Lillard will likely be hounded by Beverley all night, giving way to CJ McCollum. Though his buddy gets a tough matchup, McCollum gets a very nice one with Rivers on him, who is a terrible defender.

Justin Holiday – 18/2/4 [ $6,700 / $6,000 ] Justin Holiday has been a real bright spot for the Bulls with all their new acquisitions and injuries going on. Holiday plays a ton of minutes, about 35 a night, allowing for a lot of production and usage on this shaky Chicago team.

Kent Bazemore – 13/3/3 [ $5,700 / $5,200 ] The usage that Kent Bazemore and a couple others will receive while Dennis Schroder is out is just too much to pass up on. As was last game, Bazemore should again be the number one guy, making him a great play in this one.

Austin Rivers – 7/2/1 [ $4,900 / $4,400 ] With Milos Teodosic out indefinitely, Austin Rivers has worked his way into the starting cast, offering decent production at a cheap cost. Honestly, Rivers isn’t that good of a player, but his minutes almost guarantee production from him.

  • Small Forward

Giannis Antetokounmpo – 36/5/10 [ $12,400 / $12,000 ] Throughout the first four games of the season, Giannis Antetokounmpo is having an insanely good run and looks like an MVP. “The Greek Freek” is in line for another big performance against the Haywardless Celtics tonight.

Jaylen Brown – 18/5 [ $6,300 / $6,500 ] Gordon Hayward’s season ending injury not only gave Kyrie more usage, but thrusted Jaylen Brown and others into a much larger role. Starting at shooting guard tonight, Brown should continue is hot start as a productive option.

Taurean Prince – 13/1/6 [ $5,600 / $5,700 ] Taurean Prince was phenomenal near the end of last season and is looked at as a staple for the Hawks, but now with Schroder out his usage gets even higher. Prince played well last game, scoring a season high 20 points over 32 minutes.

Dante Cunningham – 4/6 [ $3,500 / $3,300 ] If Anthony Davis can’t play tonight, Dante Cunningham should see the lion’s share of forward minutes tonight. Cunningham already plays about 25+ minutes and has shown to be productive, so this should only boost him in usage.

  • Power Forward

Blake Griffin – 26/9 [ $9,800 / $9,500 ] Blake Griffin has been sensational to start the season and is gradually seeming to up his game, post Chris Paul. Griffin has been tearing it up, posterizing those in his way and should be consistent tonight, though Portland rebounds well.

Jayson Tatum – 14/1/7 [ $7,200 / $6,400 ] Jayson Tatum isn’t doing too bad for a rookie who wasn’t expected to even be in a starting role, at least this early. Tatum appears to be comfortable within the system, playing a minimum of 30 minutes and playing great.

Lauri Markkanen – 16/9 [ $6,500 / $5,900 ] With all of Chicago’s problems and injuries, the rookie, Lauri Markkanen is making the best of it and getting his. Markkanen has seen a ton of minutes with Mirotic and Portis out and is expected upon greatly on the offensive side.

John Collins – 11/7/1 [ $5,700 / $5,500 ] Though coming off the bench isn’t exactly ideal, John Collins has shown he can be very productive in just a short time. Collins plays only about 15 – 20 minutes, however, when in, he is a key component to Atlanta’s game plan.

  • Center

DeMarcus Cousins – 31/12/3 [ $11,800 / $11,500 ] DeMarcus Cousins will be the chalk of the night, with or without Davis playing tonight and it doesn’t take a genius to tell you that. This will be without a doubt a grudge game for Cousins and things could get real messy real fast.

Marc Gasol – 25/10/1 [ $8,800 / $7,500 ] Consistently one of the best all around centers and extremely productive, is the man out of Memphis, Marc Gasol. Last game against Dallas, Gasol performed well, posting a 26 point double double in 37 minutes of action.

Al Horford – 13/8/1 [ $7,400 / $6,800 ] It’s no secret that Milwaukee has struggled against centers this year and Al Horford has already done damage against them this season. Horford is a fine play at his price range and should be fairly overlooked with Cousins and Gasol playing.

Nerlens Noel – 8/6/1 [ $5,000 / $4,400 ] This play is more of a guessing one, but if the Mavs decide to rest Dirk, Nerlens Noel could see good minutes tonight. *Update: Dirk Nowitzki will play tonight, likely limiting Noel to his usual time of 15 – 20 minutes per game.

Extras: Conley, Snell, Valentine, Pondexter, Theis.
