Value Plays For 10/23

I’m writing these plays early due to working right up until lock, but I love this slate and I couple of these guy’s are in great spots to crush value! Also I would really love some feed back on these articles, follow me on twitter @FanCaveCody1 and let me know what you think!

Dejounte Murray $5,400 – Anyone else a little surprised to see his price? Actually FD is being a little light based off his first 2 games. He’s scored 34 and 32 fps respectively, which would be 6x value at his current price. As far as his matchup with TOR, I don’t love it. But, he’s shown so far that he can stuff the stat sheet and I think he has enough weapons around him to make an impact.

Yogi Ferrell $5,300 – The Mavs are a bad basketball team  and that will show again tonight against GSW. The one bright spot as far as DFS goes is Ferrell. He played 41 mins last game and scored 19p and dished out 6a, which was good for 34 fps. Ferrell will have a good matchup where he should be able to produce. Only bad thing is they will get blown out ( let’s just hope Ferrell gets minutes like last game).

De’Aaron Fox $5,200 – It’s hard to play Fox knowing George Hill is healthy, but he’s played great so far coming off the bench. He also has a great matchup against one of the worst defenses in the NBA (Lonzo Ball nearly recorded a triple-double against them last week). This game should be very fast paced and high scoring.

Buddy Hield $4,800 – He’s proved to be a big part of this Kings offense and gets bump due to the poor PHO defense. He had a rough game last time out, but I honestly don’t see him having any trouble this game. There will be plenty of opportunities to get back on track.

Tony Snell $3,700 – This is for my boy Johnny, he loves Snell! On a bigger slate Snell provides a lot of salary relief and has a good shot to still hit 5x value. He has a nice matchup with CHA where he should get Jeremy Lamb who doesn’t play great defense. My favorite part about playing Snell is that blocks and steals are now +3 on FanDuel. Which for a guy like Snell means he could blow the doors off 5x value easily.

Stanley Johnson $4,400 – Johnson has recovered nicely since starting opening night 0-13 on FGs. He’s now a starter and been getting decent minutes, which leads to opportunity. He doesn’t have the best matchup tonight against PHI, but at his price I like his spot. Considering we know he likes to shoot, once his shot starts falling he could really rack up some fps.

Dillion Brooks $4,400 -I wrote about Brooks in my last article and he didn’t quite hit 5x value. One interesting note is that Brooks played 32 minutes last game and he’s in the same situation tonight against HOU.

Kelly Olynyk $5,200 – Ended up kicking myself because I was all over Olynyk for Saturday’s slate, but switched off him right before lock. He ended up going for 37 fps, which really could have helped my line! Even if Whiteside plays I still like Olynyk due to his shooting ability.

Lucas Nogueria $5,000 – This play relies solely on if Jonas Valanciunas is out. He’s over priced, but scored 31 fps in 16 after Val went down at half time.

***If Valanciunas does play….

Jacob Poetel $4,500 – Is an interesting play because of SA weakness against big centers. Poetel fits this bill and has been getting 16ish minutes a game. He’s worth a look if you’re trying to punt at center.

Tyson Chandler $4,000 – Chandler doesn’t need an introduction because it seems like he’s been in the league forever! But, he comes in a cheap price and has a good matchup against SAC. On things I’ve noticed is he plays much better against athletic bigs and I think the reason for that is because he just out works them.
