Tonight’s slate is one that should be played with a ton of caution. The gap of time between the two games on the slate is three hours long, so if players rest in the latter we will probably not know by time of lock. Alright, let’s get right into these plays!
- Plays are based on stats, opposition, and pricing
- FanDuel and DraftKings prices listed respectively.
- Point Guard(s):
Dennis Schroder [ $7,500 / $8,100 ] – Schroder has been a bright spot for the Hawks in a dim looking future. In three preseason games, he has scored in double digits and played 22+mpg.
Dennis Smith Jr. [ $4,300 / $7,000 ] – This guy may very well be the most electrifying player out of this year’s draft. DSJ has played well this preseason and gets Schroder, a poor defender.
Frank Mason [ $3,000 / $4,700 ] – With De’Aaron Fox out tonight with a back injury, making way for Frank Mason. When in able time, he has scored in double figures and rebounded well.
- Shooting Guard(s):
Lou Williams [ $5,000 / $4,800 ] – Lou Williams is a former Six Man of the Year award winner with a sweet touch. The 12 year vet is by far the best guy to get you some buckets tonight.
Kent Bazemore [ $4,900 / $4,300 ] – The Hawks have very few guys who can consistently get them buckets, Bazemore is one. He has shot well, but not often, with his most being 6 attempts.
Buddy Hield [ $4,600 / $5,500 ] – On a team full of promising young players, Hield is the most complete at his current stage. Buddy has struggled to find his shot, but is in a good spot here.
- Small Forward(s):
Justin Jackson [ $3,600 / $4,300 ] – Selected with the 15th pick in this year’s draft, Justin Jackson has played decent this preseason. Jackson will more than likely see his normal 24+ minutes.
Taurean Prince [ $3,400 / $5,500 ] – As one of Atlanta’s key young players, Taurean Prince should see more responsibility moving forward. Prince is in line for minutes and solid production.
Wesley Johnson [ $3,000 / $4,100 ] – Gallinari and Dekker are both out tonight with injuries, allowing Wesley Johnson to step up. Honestly, this is nothing more than a fall back with time.
- Power Forward(s):
Blake Griffin [ $8,700 / $8,200 ] – With Chris Paul no longer a part of the Clippers, Blake Griffin is the man now. The Kings frontcourt is no match for Griffin, who will see a ton of usage.
Harrison Barnes [ $6,400 / $4,700 ] – Harrison Barnes is the clear number one option for a bucket on this Dallas team. UPDATE – Barnes is now out: Finney-Smith and Powell in line.
Skal Labissiere [ $4,100 / $5,600 ] – One of the most talented young stars in the entire league has to be Labissiere. Skal has seen a lot of minutes and will get some nice production in this one.
DeAndre Jordan [ $7,900 / $7,300 ] – Jordan has acclimated smoothly so far with CP3 no longer running point. DJ is always in line for a double double and could very well do that tonight.
Willie Cauley-Stein [ $4,700 / $5,200 ] – Post Cousins, Cauley-Stein seems to be their big man for the future. Though he has struggled, his upside with play time is beneficial towards production.
Georgios Papagiannis [ $3,000 / $4,000 ] – When the Kings have rested players, Papagiannis has stepped in and filled nicely. The Greek has played well and seen 20+ minutes in all games.
Extras: Ferrell, Finney-Smith, Collins, Powell.
