Monday – Thursday Slate Breakdown

Good evening FanCavers. @DFSClutchBoy is back with another round of Monday thru Thursday breakdown. I hope you guys had a good week, I certainly did not. Our Eli call, although bold, ended up being our best play of the weekend. Anyways we will move into this breakdown! Last time I broke the games down individually, but I think what I will try this time is break it down by position! Please let me know your feedback and which format you like better. Let’s get into it. NUMBER 1 RULE: Don’t overthink the slate!!!

Games:

Washington Redskins @ Kansas City Chiefs (KC -7 ; O/U 48)

New England Patriots @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NE -5.5 ; O/U 55.5)

QB:

Alex Smith – Washington secondary has looked good, due to other options I have no interest (Large Field GPP option)

Kirk Cousins – NO THANK YOU. Chiefs scare me… a lot. I will have little Redskins exposure (Not an option)

Jameis Winston – NE defense has looked TERRIBLE the first couple weeks. With Brady on the slate you will get Jameis Winston extremely underowned. If Cam Newton can do it so can Jameis. I LOVE this spot for him and will be close to if not fully all in. (Play in ALL formats)

Tom Brady – Although I prefer Winston, I will not tell you to fade Brady. He is in play every time he steps on the field and in a game with a 55.5 O/U Brady WILL get his. (Play in ALL formats)

RB:

Chris Thompson – Awww I really hope people point chase here. This guy will see no volume and with Perine and Kelley back this play is non existent for me. I see small appeal on full PPR sites but STAY AWAY on FD and thank me later. (Worth a shot on DK)

Kareem Hunt – With the Redskins banged up committee, the unpredictable Pats run game, and Doug Martin coming back, Kareem Hunt is easily the number one option at RB this week. Lock and load. (IS a lock in ALL formats)

Doug Martin – I expect Martin to come back hungry and NE struggles heavily against the RB position. He will make Jacquizz not matter from a fantasy perspective. Doug Martin is my second favorite RB on the slate. (In play in ALL formats)

Mike Gillislee – Better on FD; no targets. I still don’t believe in the guy but I get the play as he could legitimately cross into the end zone 3 or 4 times. (In play on FD ALL formats)

James White – Bold call: I think James White will go nuts in this spot. He has 22 targets through 4 weeks. Look for the Pats to keep riding White. Love this play this week. (In play in ALL formats)

WR:

Gonna rock through this position quickly and give you some GPP darts worth throwing at the end. I’ll touch on the main guys I’m on.

Mike Evans – Such a good spot for Evans here. He will be high owned but for good reason. One of those lock and load plays (Lock in ALL formats)

Chris Hogan – Love the discount from Cooks and its obvious he is the real deal. I want a lot more exposure to this game than the other game so sign me up for Hogan. (In play in ALL formats)

Brandin Cooks – Another great play if you can fit him. I don’t think I’ll be able to, but he is up there as a great play. (In play in ALL formats)

Tyreek Hill – Should be shadowed by Norman for a good amount of the game. Tyreek always bodes well for the boom or bust GPP play because of his explosiveness and quickness. (In play in GPP formats)

Other GPP darts: Josh Doctson; Jamison Crowder; Danny Amendola; Adam Humphries

TE:

Travis Kelce – Washington is one of the worst teams in the leagues against tight end. Lock and load for me in this spot, but since Gronk is on the slate I won’t call him a lock in all formats. (In play in ALL formats)

Rob Gronkowski – High O/U; crazy amount of targets and high floor. Love this play and I love the idea of playing both Kelce and Gronk on DK if you are able to. (In play in ALL formats)

Leverage GPP play: Cameron Brate

D/ST:

Kansas City is the only one I am on. Don’t touch that Patriots game. Washington is a decent play at best for leverage.

Good luck!
